Our Angels

Learn a little more about the angels we've mentored into college

Yvonne Garcia
Electrical Engineer Sophmore
Oklahoma University

Yvonne, is a first gen student and will be attending The University of Oklahoma. She is a native of Oklahoma and fell in love with engineering from Boeing's high-school internship program in which she has participated in for the last three years. She attended community college and finished her core classes and has had a few set backs that makes her not only exceptional but a fighter. What most stood out to us about her was her decision to figure out how to stay in school and how to become a mental health advocate for herself. She did not let any of the stigmas in life affect her but instead has persevered

Jorge Almarez

Rose Hulman Institute of Technology

He comes from a long family of builders that have helped build the Chicago skyline. He is a first gen student and is interning this summer in NEy York helping build the cities infrastructure. His tenacity to play football, golf, and be at the top of his class shows the tenacity he will have in forging his future and is a proud Angies Angels scholar.
